The assistance from The Mustique Charitable Trust Foundation impacted my performance during practice teaching. I was able to use the money from the scholarship offered for commuting to and from my destination in a timely manner, purchase the necessary resources which were needed to make my lessons effective and successful, assist students who found it difficult to purchase lunch and also other stationary materials that were needed for not only that subject that I taught but other subjects as well. This was indeed a very good contribution from the Mustique Charitable Foundation and I made very good use of it. Life was made easier for me and for that I must say a heartfelt thank you to Mustique Charitable Foundation. Continue to make a difference for other students at the Division of Teacher Education.

I am privileged to have been chosen to be one of the scholarship recipients for the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division of Teacher Education 2018-2020 program. This contribution has helped me to complete my Practice Teaching and other relevant courses at the College.

I constantly tried to ensure that I maintain a high Grade Point Average (GPA) and made use of all my resources that I obtained from this contribution. This scholarship has assisted me in my preparation and gave me confidence during Teaching Practicum. It meant a lot to me because in my past, I have been called a failure many times and most of the time from my experience even if a person is right they are often times considered wrong if they do not hold a certain level of educational qualification. Therefore, I have realized that education is very critical in today’s society. When students have the necessary resources and encouragement they need this can go a long way in preventing failure. With my teaching qualification I can encourage my students not to give up and always try to succeed even if they did not the first time. Thomas Edison (1879) stated “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. I was very grateful for this scholarship and I will endeavour to educate myself and motivate my students to work hard to accomplish all objectives in life. Thank you for your support and investment in my education.

I am sincerely thankful for the scholarship you had provided for my other colleagues and myself. It was of great help especially to me during my last year at DTE. It helped me to complete my practical aspect, my observation aspect and my teaching practicum. I must say that God provided you at a time I needed the most help and with that I am grateful and thankful for your help and assistance. During my teaching practicum I was able to get all my teaching aids and was able to have enough money for transportation on a daily basis. I want to thank you again for your help, contribution and your support that you have extended to me during my time at DTE.

The MCF scholarship was very useful to me. The scholarship, enabled me to pay my finally year tuition. I also got money for food and even money to help me buy resources during teaching practicum. Without that source of fund I am not sure how, my practicum would have turned out. As a teacher in training it is very essential to have resources and manipulatives to make teaching easier and to grab the students’ attention. I spent my scholar ship money wisely in order to gain the benefits it was given to me to use. A heartfelt thank you to the MCF again and continue to bless the heart of many more students.

As a recipient of an MCF scholarship, words cannot express how thankful I am. The funds received assisted me in my preparation for practicum as I was able to purchase all of the items needed for the practicum exercise (i.e. stationery, textbooks, rewards for my students etc.). Additionally, I was able to cover my food and transportation expenses and pay my graduation fee in full. The funds also provided a peace of mind as I did not have to worry about my finances while completing my studies. Once again, it is with great joy that I extend my sincerest gratitude to the Mustique Charitable Foundation.

How can I say thanks for all the things you have done for me? This question crossed my mind for months. But as I looked back on all the different ways you have contributed to my life, indeed now is the appropriate time to say THANK YOU. Not only have you covered my college expenses but the finances stretched further than just college expenses. I was able to make investments in other equipment which assisted in my career of becoming a teacher. THANK YOU. Additionally, you inadvertently provided back up financial support for me in time of this pandemic when the whole country was in panic mode. THANK YOU. I wish I had the pleasure of saying more but this would have to do. I am greatly appreciative of your assistance in my journey at DTE. If there is any other way I can express my gratitude, I would gladly do so but until then, THANK YOU.
